Measure a filled bag, not only an empty pouch.
The usable panel can change as gussets open and the coffee settles. Start with your actual bag format in its selling shape.
For cold brew, measure the straight bottle wall separately. A bag label’s dimensions and construction should not automatically carry over to a chilled bottle.
- Fill and close the bag as a customer will receive it, then measure the flat front area.
- Keep the label clear of the valve, zipper, seams, folds and opening path.
- Attach a paper mockup and check it standing on the shelf, lying in a shipping box and held in the hand.

What size label fits a 12 oz coffee bag?
Measure your filled and closed bag’s front panel. Different gussets, valves and closures leave different label space, even when the coffee weight is the same.
Will labels stick to kraft or foil coffee bags?
Send the exact bag material or supplier specification. Coatings and texture matter, so confirm the construction and test a sample on the filled bag before a large run.
Can I leave space for a roast date?
Yes, you can reserve an area in the artwork. Tell Carrco whether you will write, stamp or print the date so the chosen finish can be checked with that marking method.
Can the same label work for cold brew?
The design can be adapted, but the bottle fit and exposure need their own review. Share the bottle material, refrigeration conditions and application temperature before choosing the construction.
How do I manage several origins or roast levels?
Keep the core layout consistent, then use a clear product name and a controlled color cue. Send a final file and quantity for each version, and confirm how those versions are priced.
Where do I check food-label information for my coffee?
Use current FDA food labeling resources and your product reviewer to confirm the content for your product and market. Carrco reviews the print file; you supply the final approved product information.
