How Much Do Custom Stickers Cost? Real Pricing Math for 2026

Sticker pricing looks opaque until you learn the one rule almost every printer uses: you're paying for square inches. Here's how to work the math.

The square-inch rule

A 3" × 3" sticker is 9 sq in. A 2" × 2" is 4 — less than half the material and press time. If your design works at 2.5", you just cut your cost dramatically without changing quantity.

Why unit prices fall as quantity rises

Setup, preflight, and cutting overhead are roughly fixed per order. Spread over 50 stickers, overhead dominates; over 5,000, it nearly disappears. That's why per-unit price drops steeply between 100 and 1,000 units — the sweet spot for most small brands.

What changes the price

  • Size — the biggest lever, always
  • Quantity — steep discounts up to ~1,000, flattening after
  • Material — waterproof BOPP costs more than paper and outlives it 10-to-1
  • Cut complexity — simple shapes vs intricate contours

When to buy bulk

If you hand out or apply more than ~200 stickers a month, bulk ordering pays for itself. Our bulk sticker program runs from 250 to 100,000+ units — same waterproof BOPP at every tier, quoted fast by a real printer, not a marketplace middleman.
